"Wash and go" and Retain Your Length

Protecting your hair while wearing it in a wash-n-go is no less important than when you’re making the effort to wear a protective style. There are 3 main ways to keep your hair protected when it is out.
First is the use of a leave-in conditioner. Natural hair needs extra moisture and softness. A leave-in conditioner does just that for your hair. Second, use a sealing product on your ends. These are the oldest parts of your hair and by default, the most likely areas to experience dryness and damage. Sealing the moisture into your hair and using butters to soften your ends reduces the risk of getting split ends. Third, keep your commitment to low manipulation. Don’t overstress your hair just because it is out. Wear a style as long as you can, but not at the expense of more shed hair when you need to style again and try to keep your hands out of your beautiful tresses . Fourth, sleep pretty Nighttime habits are very important, especially when your hair has been out all day. If it is not too much hassle for you, mist your ends lightly at night and place your hair up overnight, assuming it is long enough. Once again, sleep on a satin pillowcase or cover your hair with a silk or satin scarf.
